Using the service

Student to Scholar provides tools for family-managed lesson planning, scheduling, progress tracking, book inventory, and administrator review. You may use the service only in compliance with applicable law and these terms.

Family administrators

A family administrator represents that they are authorized to create the family workspace, enter student information, invite students or additional administrators, and make educational decisions for the family. Administrators are responsible for supervising student use and obtaining any consent required for minors.

Accounts and security

Provide accurate account information, protect login credentials, and notify us if you believe an account has been compromised. Do not share reviewer, administrator, or student access with unauthorized people. We may restrict access when necessary to protect users or the service.

Trial and subscriptions

Each new family workspace includes a 90-day Standard trial without requiring a payment method. If a family administrator chooses a paid plan and acknowledges the recurring-billing terms, the selected subscription begins after the remaining trial and renews automatically until canceled. The Standard plan is currently $15 per month or $120 per year, plus any applicable taxes.

Prices may change prospectively. We will provide reasonable advance notice before a price change applies to a future renewal.

Cancellation, payment problems, and refunds

A family administrator can cancel through Configuration → Plan & billing → Manage billing on the website. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access continues through that date. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid the next charge.

If a renewal payment cannot be completed, Student to Scholar may provide a seven-day grace period. If payment remains unresolved after that period, the family workspace may be paused, but its school records remain stored while the account is resolved. If you believe a charge was made in error or a material service problem prevented use, contact support. Refund eligibility is evaluated based on the circumstances and applicable law.

Your content

You retain responsibility for lesson plans, assignment instructions, family events, uploaded images, and other content you enter. You grant Student to Scholar permission to process that content only as needed to operate and improve the features you request. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

Curriculum and AI-assisted planning

Curriculum-library entries and AI-generated schedules are planning aids, not authoritative reproductions of a publisher’s materials or professional educational advice. Review edition details, lesson sequences, dates, and assignments before using a generated plan. Do not upload or redistribute copyrighted material beyond what you are authorized to use.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass family boundaries, access another household’s information, interfere with the service, upload malware, misuse invitations or notifications, scrape protected content, or use the service to violate another person’s rights. The separate Acceptable Use Policy provides additional detail.

Third-party services

Some features depend on third-party authentication, hosting, notification, AI, and book-metadata services. Their availability may affect individual features. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and are governed by those sites’ terms.

Availability and changes

The service is evolving and may change over time. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary loss of family data. Beta or preview features may be less reliable than generally released features.

No educational guarantee

Student to Scholar organizes information supplied or approved by the family. It does not guarantee academic outcomes, legal compliance with a particular jurisdiction’s homeschool requirements, or the accuracy of third-party or AI-generated information.

Account termination

You may stop using the service, cancel a subscription, or delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Canceling a subscription does not itself delete family records. We may suspend accounts involved in abuse, security threats, material violations of these terms, or an unresolved loss of commercial access.

Disclaimer and limitation

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Student to Scholar is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
